As Brighton & Hove Albion FC's dedicated IT partner, we are proud to support their 'Albion As One' fund which is providing more than 100 laptops to school children across Brighton and Hove to assist with their home learning during the lockdown.

The crew in the Hut have been hard at work cooking up some delicious meals this Christmas, donating over 300 dinners to the Gateway Hub’s Community Meals ‘Heat or Eat’ project! 🍲

We are spreading the Christmas cheer with the Adur East Lions Club who were joined by a guest Santa Claus last night, he looks very familiar to us 🤔

Over the last few weeks Operation Santa has been under wraps at Focus HQ.

Now that the special deliveries are well on their way, we would like to give a massive shout out to our Focus Elves, Stuart, Melissa, Liam, Sarah, Kathy, John and Pete and Ionie who were buried under the boxes somewhere 🎁

On this: the 11th day, of the 11th month, we will pause at 11am to pay our respects to our Armed Forces community- past and present ❣️

We did it, we have successfully conquered Everest!

Our virtual challenge saw our fantastic team climb in excess of 48,000ft- more than twice the height of the real ‘Goddess of the Sky’! 🏔

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored our Everest Challenge helping us smash our £10,000 fundraising target for Community Action Nepal 🙌

Who spotted the Focus logo in the pages of The Times? 📰

Last month Scotland defeated England at a penny-farthing polo match that saw the two teams battling it out on Victorian-style bicycles. The two sides were competing for the Penny-Farthing Calcutta Cup in Richmond, Surrey, with the Scots pipping the opponents 8-7 in a thrilling contest! 🏆

Local Community Support Group, The Gateway Hub, recently launched their Summer Lunch Club. The new initiative will focus on providing different types of food items to families who find feeding their children challenging over the school holidays.

Throughout the summer break, Focus Group are proud to be supplying weekly care packages of milk and fresh fruit to The Hub. Wrapping around existing services such as Food Banks, volunteers work together to ensure no child goes hungry.

For the past 17 weeks, our community kitchen has dished up over 5000 nutritious meals in an effort to keep our local NHS staff well fed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are incredibly proud to have been able to provide this free service to our NHS Heroes, and even more thankful for the lifesaving work that they do each and everyday.

With over 450 sponsors pledging their support, the virtual Focus 10K was a huge success, with the total fundraising amount totalling an incredible £30,574.74 👏

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in this unique fundraiser, your generosity has helped to fund a whole range of projects at Chailey Heritage Foundation

We are so proud of Stuart MacGarvie & his team for their Community Champions Award, presented for catering for our local residents and NHS heroes 🌈

A BIG thank you to our friends at #InfinityFoodsWholesale and Auntie Val's Ability Centre for donating a whopping 75 kilos of pinto, borlotti & mung beans and chick peas for our Community Meals 🤗 This lot will certainly keep Stu & his team busy in the kitchen!

Anything we don't use up will be donated to Shoreham Foodbank 👌

The Focus Easter bunnies have been VERY busy delivering these generous 'Coronavirus Rescue Packs'! Little did we know that after a 'rat-a-tat-tat' at the door, the postie would deliver this... 🍾🥤🍫🍭🐣🛁🧻

While our offices may be closed, The Hut is certainly open! Over the last few days, Stuart, Liam and Sarah have transformed our favourite eatery into a community kitchen. This huge batch is made up of sausage & mash, beefy cottage pie, pasta & bolognese and a Focus favourite... sweet chilli chicken, rice & veg!

The care parcels will be winging their way to Worthing Hospital this evening- courtesy of NHS volunteer Julie. We hope they will give our incredible nhs.uk staff a much needed nutritional boost as they battle to keep us safe 💙

Our people are proving extremely resilient during these uncertain times, kindness and compassion is prevailing which is wonderful to see! As a thank you to our team a complimentary feast of sausage & mash was dished up in The Hut today, followed by a classic afternoon tea 🍰🥪☕️

It's World Book Day! Some of our teams have chosen to dress for the occasion, others are taking part in bake sales and our super chefs are cooking up a variety of literary masterpieces in The Hut - Bird Pie with a side of Snozzcumber anyone? 🥒

All funds raised today will go towards the purchase of new story books for primary schools in our local community, because, as Dr Seuss once said “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

The Hut Gods are going flipping crazy for our pancake people, serving up not only sweet and savoury toppings but also buttermilk beauties AND classic crepes 🥞 So, what’s it going to be? 🤔

Shout out to our very own #TeamFocus who battled against awful weather conditions yesterday to defend our title of Corporate Relay Champions for the fourth year running 🏆 (no pun intended!)

Focus 10K returns to Borde Hill Garden on Sunday 31st May and this year is going to be our biggest ever! Supporting the incredible Chailey Heritage Foundation, there's something for everyone! 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The Chailey Heritage Foundation was announced as our ‘Charity of the Year’ in December 2018 and since then a lot has happened!

From bake sales to bingo, 10K runs and hair shaving fun and earlier this month Elaine Goodman, Chris Pellatt, Nigel Box and Danya Castle presented the charities Development Director, Sally-Anne Murray, with a cheque for £35,327.88.

This is an incredible achievement, which will have a huge impact on the lives of the children and young people who are cared for at Chailey.

The Adur East Lions Club were joined by a guest Santa Claus last night and he looks very familiar to us 🤔 thank you to our Focus Group volunteers for helping with a fantastic Sleigh Drive and to everyone who donated on our route! Can you guess who the secret Santa is? 🎅🏽

Work is much more fun when you’re wearing a jumper with a penguin on it. Or a reindeer. Or a load of tinsel. FACT. So we are getting Christmassy with our colleagues today for Christmas Jumper Day!

And the best bit? Our offices are raising money for Save the Children UK - helping to keep children around the world healthy and safe, and get an education, so they can grow up to be who they want to be ❣️

The Focus Kent team have been working on an important project today on behalf of Warming Up The Homeless, filling warm socks with items such as deodorant, baby wipes, toothpaste and new underwear. All of these sock bundles will then be distributed to people who are currently living on the streets in our community.

Honoured to be taking part in the Safe in Sussex Gingerbread House competition. Stuart & Harriet will be decorating our entry. All of the houses will be donated to families staying in the Safe in Sussex shelters over Christmas.

Safe in Sussex raises awareness of domestic abuse and provides practical support and refuge locally.

Last week saw the launch of our volunteering policy, which enables our people to dedicate their time, skills (and smiles!) to a local charity of their choice.

Jessica, Ashleigh, Calvin, Beverly, Andy, Campbell and Jamie headed to Patchwork Farm, located at the Chailey Heritage Foundation. The animals on Patchwork Farm provide therapy to their pupils and young adults who use their services. The team got to work in the pig enclosure, digging up vegetation, laying weed membrane and covering with gravel.

Tomorrow, we will be rolling up our sleeves with the fantastic Chailey Heritage Foundation! This time the team will be onsite helping to rejuvenate the pig enclosure at Patchwork Farm, assisting the farm manager, Lesley with some much needed work.

The animals on Patchwork Farm provide therapy to CHF pupils and young adults who use their services. Chailey’s four resident pigs have been tempted to venture out their enclosure to reach the vegetation that has been growing outside. Our volunteers will be helping to dig up the vegetation, lay down a weed membrane and cover the spaces with gravel, along with additional tasks on the farm.

This year we’re asking our teams to pause - mute phones, close laptops, switch off screens - for just two minutes and pay respect to our Armed Forces community, past and present.

Today marks a very special day for the Chailey Heritage Foundation! After 3 years of fundraising, The D.R.E.A.M. Centre is OFFICIALLY open 🤗

On 17th November 2016 the charity launched The D.R.E.A.M. Centre appeal to raise £3.1m to build a modern, purpose-built indoor activity space where children & young people with complex disabilities & health needs could participate in a mixture of arts and physical activities.

Today, this dream came true 💜

Yesterday we had a visit from Jasper, the Adur East Lions Club Official mascot! 🦁

He was here to announce the news that Focus Group will be working with The Lions on some very worthwhile charity campaigns over the next few months, including the #coatsforkids appeal, giving the gift of warmth this winter by asking people to donate preloved children's coats.

Massive congratulations to Jamie Connolly for winning July's Hosted Salesperson of the Month…

Jamie helped 9 new clients last month including several estate agents and motor dealerships. Jamie has also already made a fantastic start to August with another monster deal this week! Well done and keep it up!

Focus House is awash with foliage this morning as Brighton Botanicals put their green fingers to work & our new moss wall is getting a great reception from our resident Snail!

A throwback to this time last month when some of the sales guys went clay pigeon shooting at West Kent Shooting School. Thanks for the day out Gamma. Everyone had a brilliant time, especially overall winner, Michael Lloyd.
