The challenge

Due to the fast-paced nature of the cosmetics world, it is vital that the business has state-of-the-art business telecommunication and Microsoft collaboration tools, supported by a network that enables staff to work remotely 24/7 using the most up-to-date voice, chat and collaboration apps.

The business had decided to relocate its HQ to London, and therefore a complete design and fit for the flagship office, including network and telephony infrastructures was essential.

The solution

Focus Group has been working with Coty for a decade as its Cisco partner of choice, valued highly for their in-depth Cisco expertise. The 1,100 sqm offices now boast a state-of-the-art Cisco wireless solution to support employees and guest access. This, coupled with all the switching and connectivity services, ensures seamless interconnects with the resilient dual-carrier MPLS network that connects Coty’s global ops.

The new infrastructure further comprises power protection to protect critical data and improve time recovery in an outage. Focus also deployed Cisco Catalyst switches to optimise performance and simplify the configuration and management of access points for Coty.

Focus Group coordinated the entire installation, consulting with architects, contractors and Coty’s global networking team.

The results

The fault-free implementation and quick turnaround meant that staff were able to hit the ground running from the moment they entered the new HQ, and the organisation is also using Focus Group to undertake multiple implementation and configuration projects at various Coty locations.
