Clipfine works on some of the most complex and prestigious projects throughout the UK. Notable projects include iconic buildings such as the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Paddington Station and the London US Embassy, to name but a few.

The Challenge

Clipfine approached Focus Group following a recommendation from Community Vision, an IT customer who provided a glowing recommendation of the services it had received and in particular, account manager Ross Sinclair, who had consistently provided great service.

Clipfine were looking to undertake a complete overhaul of their IT infrastructure and needed a supplier who was able to not only listen to and understand their challenges, but also who had the capability to deliver against those requirements and provide service excellence as a fully outsourced IT managed service provider.

Clipfine were keen to modernise their IT environment, migrating the business from an on-premise, physical server infrastructure to a modernised and fully hosted environment.

The Solution

Following extensive presales scoping and a thorough understanding of the existing platform, Focus Group were in a position to propose an all-encompassing range of solutions to update Clipfine’s core infrastructure to deliver the enterprise-class environment they sought.

Projects within this business transformation included moving its existing Sage system into the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, and its user files into Microsoft SharePoint. The move to an all-digital future also included communications, with an upgrade of the telephony platform to a fully-hosted and maintained Horizon system.

The roadmap of work to migrate everything into the cloud - to give Clipfine the modernised and futureproof infrastructure-as-a-service environment it required - was undertaken over a period of approximately six months. Future innovations have also been scoped, with timelines agreed with the senior management team.

The Results

Clipfine is now well on route on its digital workplace transformation journey, meaning that they now operate as a modern, forward-thinking organisation which has embraced change and can compete effectively as a nationally-recognised leader in their field of expertise.
