Yes, SoGEA broadband uses fibre optic cables from the local exchange to the PCP (the green street cabinets). From the cabinet the service is supplied to your premises using copper cables. Although this “looks like” traditional Fibre Broadband (FTTC), the line coming into the premises is a SoGEA data line not a phone line and therefore won’t be impacted by the PTSN switch off in 2025.
