About Excalibur Academies Trust

Founded in 2012, the Excalibur Academies Trust prides itself on a special blend of independence and collaboration, which can be seen in everything they do. Their academies and partner schools deliver an education that ensures every student achieves and enjoys success.

The challenge

The Trust was contacted by the Department for Education (DfE) to inform them of the Connect the Classroom programme. This service provided funding to help schools enjoy the benefits of modern WiFi solutions and deliver rich educational student experiences and a more efficient working environment for staff.

The Excalibur Academies Trust contacted us looking for a Wi-Fi upgrade at three of their schools. And we were more than happy to help!

The solution

Excalibur was already using an Ubiquiti Wi-Fi solution and found it was good value for money, so they were keen for an upgraded version of the same. The Ubiquiti long-range access points are all designed specifically to have better coverage, higher capacity for users, and better throughput.

New access points were installed throughout the schools, including IP58-rated access points outside. On top of that, a bridge kit was also implemented at Lambourn C of E Primary to provide a seamless point-to-point link between two buildings on the site.
