Richard Gunston
Finance Director
Richard joined in June 2022 to lead the expanding, group-wide Finance function across our UK locations. As Finance Director, he has responsibility for ensuring strong financial controls and processes are in place and that all aspects of working capital, management reporting, statutory compliance as well as commercial finance support is covered. Richard also plays a pivotal role in working with recently acquired businesses.
Prior to joining the Focus Group team, Richard held a variety of senior finance positions across FP&A, financial control and business partnering, spanning the education and travel industries. He qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG and has been a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 2009.
Away from work, Richard enjoys spending as much time as possible with his three children as well as the occasional run along Hove seafront and trying not to get too frustrated following his football team!
